On August 30 in Novokuznetsk the meeting on the development of a separate collection system took place featuring the Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY South operator’s manager.
Nearly 140 thousand tons of municipal solid waste are generated annually in the city. According to the National project «Ecology» 100% of waste must be delivered for recycling by 2030 and no more than 50% of it are to be buried. The South operator of Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY develops the platform for collecting of municipal solid waste of Novokuznetsk agglomeration, first of all – waste paper.
At the meeting manager of the South operator Sergey Frolov said that 5,3 thousand tons of waste paper was collected in 2022 and over 4 thousand tons had been collected already for 8 months of 2023. All waste paper is recycled in Kemerovo by Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY. Besides the South operator collects the other kinds of recyclables, for example plastic film, tape, containers big bags etc.
