On September 26, 2002 limited liability company «Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY» was established.
New enterprise became the descendent of Kemerovo soft roofing materials pant that was founded in 1964 to produce bituminous felt. Production had become unprofitable by 2002 and the enterprise came to the brink of closure. It was decided to convert the production to recycling waste paper to save the assets and the stuff. The similarity of the technological lines accelerated the process of re-equipment.
Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY today is the largest recycling enterprise in the region with the capacity of 120 thousand tons of waste paper per year. 250 employees are work in the company and the amount will be growing – a further expansion of production is planned for the coming years. The third technological line with the capacity of 240 thousand tons per year will have appeared by 2029.
Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY is a basic resident of the industrial park «Zapadniy» that is the conceptual platform for recyclables managing.
