On April 22, the All-Russian Ecological Dictation was held at Kemerovo State University, which was attended by more than 450 people, including representatives of 14 regional ministries, ecologists of industrial enterprises, teachers and educators, students of KemSU, Kuzbass Pedagogical College, young ecologists.

This year, the project was devoted to the topic «Environmental well-being» - a key factor in a comfortable human life. Dictation issues covered a wide range of topical areas: sustainable development of territories, air, water and soil quality, preservation of forests and protected areas, effective waste management, principles of conscious consumption, animal care, energy efficiency and environmental safety.

Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY, a long-term partner of the ecodictant in Kuzbass, traditionally provided recycled waste paper for printing test forms and participant certificates. Recall that such a resource-saving format of the event was invented and first implemented in Kuzbass in 2020, becoming an example for other regions.

Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY is the leader in recycling in Kuzbass and the largest waste paper processing enterprise east of the Urals. The annual waste paper disposal volume at the plant's facilities exceeds 120 thousand tons, which is equivalent to 1.2 million trees saved from felling. Despite the obviously environmentally friendly profile, the Company continues to systematically reduce its carbon footprint through equipment modernization and the use of resource-saving technologies in the electric utility, gas boiler houses, etc.

In 2026 Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY will put into operation the treatment facilities for industrial effluents, built within the framework of the national project "Environmental Well-being" with the support of the Kuzbass Government and the Kemerovo city administration. The company has previously taken a responsible attitude to environmental protection, using the appropriate systems of neighboring nitrogen for the treatment of industrial effluents. New treatment facilities will not only reduce the load on general communications, but, no less important, return up to 70% of water to industrial circulation. Today, Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY is almost the only waste paper processing enterprise in the Siberian Federal District, which provides water purification after the production cycle in order to avoid contamination of the soil and water arteries
