The meeting devoted to the questions of implementation of the activities aimed at the diversification of Kuzbass economy during 2021-2026 took place оn March 2 in Kemerovo, Industrial Park «Zapadniy».
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of the Territorial Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Economic Development Olesya Veinblat, Senior Advisor of the Department of Regional Policy of the Ministry of Economic Development Anastasiya Yatsukova, Deputy Minister of Kuzbass Economic Development Anton Efremov, Head of Economic Development Department of Kuzbass Government Administration Ekaterina Veis, Deputy Head of Analysis and Social-Economic Monitoring Irina Poselskaya and Director of managing company of Industrial park «Zapadniy» (OOO «UK «Ecoimpuls») Sergey Gutov.
Sergey Gutov had talked to the guests about realization of the large-scale investment project of the Park anchor resident – plant for processing waste paper «Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY». The project entitled «The creation of manufacture of innovational cardboard and paper with antibacterial properties made of wasted paper KDM-2» that had been earlier included into the Plan of measures to diversify the economy of Kuzbass during 2021-2026, completed with the solemn launch of production on December 01, 2022 with the participation of the Governor of Kuzbass Sergey Tsivilev. As a result, the manufacturing capacity of Kuzbaskiy SKARABEY had increased 4 times – from 30 to 120 thousand tons of wasted paper per year, 119 jobs were created also.
The Industrial Park «Zapadniy» and its anchor resident – plant «Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY» development is of key importance for the sustainable circular economy of the region forming. «Up to 2026 few residents will appear at the Industrial Park «Zapadniy» connected with municipal waste recycling including plastic. As for Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY – it is going to expand its own corrugated packaging production at the same time» – shared the plans Serge Gutov.
