A new machine-building platform for the pulp and paper industry will be created in Kuzbass

In Kuzbass, it is planned to launch a new production area focused on the production, restoration and maintenance of equipment for the pulp and paper industry. The project will become part of the regional industrial policy for the development of mechanical engineering, import substitution and the creation of modern production competencies in Siberia.

The industrial park «Noviy» in Kemerovo municipal district, which is being developed by the management company «Ecoimpuls», is considered as the base platform for the placement of new capacities. The industrial partner of the project is the Kemerovo Experimental Mechanical Repair Plant, which has a serious production base and competencies in the field of mechanical engineering.

At the same time, the project from the very beginning is considered wider than the creation of a shaft repair site. They talk about the formation in Kuzbass of a specialized production site for the maintenance and subsequent development of the production of various types of equipment and components for the pulp and paper industry. This approach will make it possible to gradually develop a new direction of industrial cooperation in the region and expand the range of products depending on the needs of the market.

The particular importance of the project is its practical relevance. Already today, industry enterprises often have to send equipment for repair to the central regions of Russia or to China, which increases the time, logistics and service costs. The creation of such a base in Kuzbass will significantly reduce these costs for enterprises in Siberia and neighboring territories, as well as increase the technological independence of Russian manufacturers.

The largest waste paper recycling company in Siberia - Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY will be among the first customers for the services of the new production. Other enterprises of the country are also showing interest in the project, for which operational repairs, reliable service and the availability of domestic production solutions are critical.

The project corresponds to the federal course on the mechanical engineering development, industrial equipment localization and technological sovereignty strengthening. For Kuzbass, this is not only the launch of new production, but also another step towards diversifying the economy, developing industrial parks and creating high-tech jobs.
