On 26 February, an online seminar was held: «Packaging of the future: innovations and new materials for agricultural companies», organized by the Federal Centre for Agricultural Consulting of the Russian Academy of Human Resources for Agro-industrial Enterprises.
The seminar was attended by more than 200 managers of agricultural enterprises, peasant farms, representatives of educational and scientific institutions in the field of agriculture.
The key speakers of the seminar were representatives of the company «Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY» - the first and currently only producer of antibacterial paper in the Russian Federation. The company produces barrier paper and is developing a project to create new types of antibacterial packaging.
According to the industry portal agroinvestor.ru, losses of plant-based food products reach 15% during storage and transport and 45% during sale. The active packaging protection technology, proposed by Kuzbasskiy SKARABEY, reduces such losses by 10-20%. Active packaging creates a protective environment that extends food storage life throughout the supply chain. The pathogenic processes can be «slowed down» both inside corrugated containers during long deliveries and on supermarket shelves if vegetables or fruits are properly laid out.
